Friends, my warm greetings. I’m so delighted to finally be able to share this month’s essay to accompany my newest single, A Bright and Beautiful Sadness.

I especially want to thank you for waiting so patiently to see this new post emerge. Some seasons are just too full, and the last week has been overbrimming with the intensity of deadlines and details. I’m still in the throes of a sea of circling demands, but it has been a gentle grace to work on this post, and I hope it is a grace to you in turn.

This month, I am turning my attention to the coming season of Lent, and what it means for those of us who are anticipating entering into its rhythms. I hope this reflection provides some dimension to your own journey into Lent, and please do leave me a comment if it catches your fancy to do so!
